In the last weeks, Costa Rica has suffered from extreme rains that have produced devastating floods and great landslides. All of these together have ended up causing people to lose their homes and belongings and have to go to shelters to get medical attention and a place to stay for the night. Hundreds of people are being affected by these natural disasters. National institutions are working on helping people, but the consequences are still too great and it is very hard to recover from all the economical losses. 

For now, institutions recommend to stay informed about the risks in your living zone and evacuate your home if necessary. Also, try to avoid going to high risk areas.
